The main aim of the project is to innovate and to further develop the energy cluster in the area of such activities which improve cooperation between the private sector, research and development and the university institutions.

OPEC – 2.4 The future of technical study programmes – partnership (the receiver is VUT Technical University Brno)
The aim of the programme ‘The future of technical study programmes’ (further as FTSP) is to create and develop a cooperation network between centres, universities, private and public sector with the intention to face critical challenges and uncertainties that the technical study programmes will meet in the first half of the 21st century. The FTSP is in synergy with other operational programmes and it concentrates on creation of optimum conditions mainly after resources for R&D and the EU structural funds have been used.
OPEC– 2.4 Partnership in the energy industry
The experience gained so far by companies and universities in the energy sector show that it is vital to establish a strong partnership supporting practical training, placements and internships connected to shared programmes. The supporting aim here is the preparation and realisation of interactive seminars and workshops, magazines, creation of a communication platform and a long-term development of a network of partners cooperating in the energy sector to develop key competences and a system of regular specialist placements.
OPEC – 2.4. Support of the transfer of innovation in the agriculture, food industry and the bio energies into practice (the receiver is Zemědělský výzkum s.r.o. – Agricultural research, Ltd.)
The main task of the project is to create and connect top research organisations with work sites in the application sector and in local government and to motivate young scientists and students by practical examples of how R&D can be used in practice.
OPEC – 3.1. Energy literacy
The main aim of the project is to extend and promote energy literacy amongst the public through educational materials and models (electrical assembly kits), the system of seminars and open days held in Ostrava. We wish to increase the knowledge of Ostrava inhabitants on the pivotal role of energy in modern life and the knowledge of how it is produced, transformed and used and of the consequences of these processes.
